| The Shop Window Display with the theme ' Centenary of Guiding', was won by Jenny Wren Toy Shop; the Stewartry County Commissioner Margaret Boulton and the Junior Lass (also a Girl Guide) Eilidh Thomson judged the competition, both in Guide Uniform. The runner-up was the Toffee Shop. |
| The Green Bowling competition saw 40 competitors compete for the huge Quaich trophy donated by Posthorn 90, this was eventually won by Jack Crocket |
| At the same time the 5-a-side football competition saw 24 teams competing for the honours. The best adult team was 'Team 300', the best secondary school age team was - 'Lee Nelson Well Good Team' and the wining team of primary school age was - 'Midget Gems' |

The Shop Hidden Article, organised by Kirk's
Shoe Shop, had a huge response this year with over 350 entries. There
were 8 correct answer sheets returned so the decision has been taken
to split the prize money 8 ways with each winner receiving £5.00. Thanks
to everyone for taking part and to Bill Kirk for organising this great
annual event.
