The Shop Window Display with the theme ' Centenary of Guiding', was won by Jenny Wren Toy Shop; the Stewartry County Commissioner Margaret Boulton and the Junior Lass (also a Girl Guide) Eilidh Thomson judged the competition, both in Guide Uniform. The runner-up was the Toffee Shop.
The Green Bowling competition saw 40 competitors compete for the huge Quaich trophy donated by Posthorn 90, this was eventually won by Jack Crocket
At the same time the 5-a-side football competition saw 24 teams competing for the honours. The best adult team was 'Team 300', the best secondary school age team was - 'Lee Nelson Well Good Team' and the wining team of primary school age was - 'Midget Gems'
 Walking Treasure Hunt; the treasure was won by team 'Craft' with runners-up 'The Cabin Cruisers'
The Shop Hidden Article, organised by Kirk's Shoe Shop, had a huge response this year with over 350 entries. There were 8 correct answer sheets returned so the decision has been taken to split the prize money 8 ways with each winner receiving £5.00. Thanks to everyone for taking part and to Bill Kirk for organising this great annual event. Winners were:
