Welcome to Douglas House, an early 19th century town house of
character offering comfortable and stylish en suite
accommodation and conveniently situated in the small market town
of Castle Douglas.Our four letting bedrooms
are all en-suite, individually furnished and with each room
having TV/DVD player, beverage tray, hairdryer, clock radio and
a selection of up-to-date magazines. The two double en-suite rooms on the first floor each have a king size bed, and on the ground floor are a small single ensuite room and a spacious double/family room with either twin beds or super king size bed and en-suite bath and shower. An additional single bed and/or cot can be added to this room, which is wheelchair accessible, making it particularly suitable for disabled holiday accommodation for those with mobility problems. There is free Wi-Fi internet access throughout and Douglas House is a totally 'No Smoking' establishment. |

Hillowton House is an historic 19th Century mansion house in
Castle Douglas, the west wing of which is a friendly, family-run
guest house. It provides everything you would expect from good
bed & breakfast accommodation, but gives you the feeling of
staying at a grand country house. Well maintained and comfortable central-heated accommodation with a choice of twin or double rooms, or a luxury king-sized suite suitable for family use. All rooms are have their own private bathroom, two being en-suite. A full Scottish breakfast is included in the price of your room, cooked to order and served in our attractive dining room, and packed lunches can be provided on request. A complimentary tray of tea and coffee, biscuits and bottled water is provided in each room, and the owners are happy to serve you tea or coffee in the Guests’ lounge during the day and evening.
