Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited is a
share holder owned Company who specialise in marketing all classes
of livestock and carrying out all aspects of Land Agency. Wallets
Marts have been marketing livestock in the Stewartry since 1856 and
have occupied their present 10 acre site since 1888. The present Company was formed in 1996 and currently lease the mart site from Wallets Marts Plc. The mart itself has been extensively modernised over the years and is recognised as the premier marketing centre within South West Scotland. Wallets business covers a wide range of services whilst retaining live auctions as its core business. We have a deadweight marketing division trading as Galloway Primestock and a highly successful Land Agency business which trades as Wallets Rural Property Services. Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited are official auctioneers to the Luing Cattle Society, the Galloway Cattle Society, the Belted Galloway Cattle Society, the Salers Cattle Society and the Bluefaced Leicester Sheep Association. |
